Volunteer Well Metering

The volunteer well metering program is used to measure average monthly water usage figures on a limited number of domestic wells. This actual sample of water usage data will be used to estimate a realistic, typical usage figure per well that can be used to project the total domestic well water usage for all of the wells in a basin. Wells for volunteer metering will be solicited over the entire county from a cross-section of users, but will focus on wells in basins with designated status, such as Pahrump with over 12,000 existing wells.

Please contact the Nye County Water District at (775) 727-3487 if you'd like to participate.
